Pepper Lunch

The food courts in Asia are on a whole different level than the ones in North America. They have a ton of variety for good prices, and the process is efficient and smooth. When I went to Hong Kong a few years ago, I tried Pepper Lunch for the first time and was amused by the sizzling hot plate that allowed you to ‘cook’ your own food. This time, we were looking for food and discovered a stand-alone Pepper Lunch store in Sha Tin.

Once inside, you find a seat yourself and then give your table number when you order at the counter.  They bring a piping hot tray topped with your order and you can begin mixing it immediately or let it sizzle away. When you mix the rice, the sauce that is contained within it will also be spread around.
This is a fun way to eat and the portions are large enough to fill me up. Now for Pepper Lunch to spread across the rest of North America…
