When places are fairly new, the information online is sometimes incorrect, which led us to come here at 9pm to find it closing up (the internet told us 9:30pm). So sadly it took a couple of tries until I finally got my hands on some egg waffles and ice cream.

If you’ve been going to New Kennedy Square since you were young, you know that the last time the food court was so busy was when they used to have the indoor playground for kids, where I spent many weekend afternoons. Now that Wooffles and Cream has opened, there is a small crowd sitting around waiting for or eating their waffle creations.
Their menu offers waffles from $3.50 to $4.50, and ice cream at $3.50. There is also parfait options for fancier combos, but we went for waffles and ice cream for our first time.
There was a bit of a wait for the waffles to be made, as they have only two waffle makers and two people making all the orders.
All the waffles came out slightly crispy and with a very spongey interior. The flavour in the sesame one really came through, but I felt like the lap cheong (a dried Chinese sausage) and seaweed one was a little lacking. I would prefer a slightly crunchier exterior, but they are still 100x better than the stands in Pacific Mall.
Their soft serve ice cream was the real star of the show for me. It was thick and creamy and the flavour of the matcha really came through.
Next time, I would definitely get them separate as the ice cream does make the waffle a little soggy, and there is no price difference for getting them together. I do think it is a bit pricey for what you’re getting, but it is a large portion and good for sharing.
