On our last day in Busan, the rain decided to greet us with a plentiful arrival. Our original plans for outdoor activities were scrapped, and we decided to take it easy and walk to a local juk place for lunch.

I had seen beautiful photos of lattes topped with a slice of fruit, and even attempted my own throughout the years. As we were planning our latest trip to Seoul, I decided to hunt down the original cafe that served these lattes.

Cafe Onion

Cafe Onion made its initial impression due to the oddity of it, as well as the beauty of the original warehouse-like location. Having expanded to a total of three stores, the Anguk location is arguably one of the most popular, located in a traditional hanok setting.

Bunkasha

There were a long list of cafes I wanted to visit in South Korea, specifically Seoul. Bunkasha had made the list last time, but due to my odd schedule and lack of appetite, I never made my way to any cafes. This time, I was determined to change that.

I can recognize when I taste good quality coffee, but without sugar and cream, I do not enjoy drinking it.

Coffee Shops in Gastown

We had a lot of coffee, tea, lattes, and the like during our trip to Vancouver. Staying in Gastown, we were surrounded by coffee shops around every corner, and we tried a new one nearly every morning (and sometimes afternoon).

JJ Bean

Upon arriving in Vancouver, we dropped off our bags and showered, and had lunch before stopping by for our first hit of caffeine. I went with my fail-safe London Fog, and was decently satisfied, but unbeknownst to me at the time, this would end up being our most-visited cafe.

After a morning spent around the sun, her flowers, rain, and many mosquitoes, we found ourselves in Hamilton in search of lunch. I had originally mapped out a cafe along King St, and as we were walking over, my two friends got distracted by the cafe with its windows open, welcoming us in.

Lady M

During our last meet-up in Causeway Bay, the topic of desserts came up, and I mentioned how I had never tried Lady M. My friend informed me that the rose crêpe cake was a Hong Kong exclusive, and as a fan of cake, rose, and exclusivity, we made a plan to meet up again later that week for some indulgence.
